To request an upgrade your qualifications; please review the position descriptions below for the required education, experience and skills. Then submit a package to HR to be reviewed by HR and Inclusive Learning. This package should include: a cover letter with your current position, the position the qualification upgrade is for and details of your education, experience and skills for this position. The request must be accompanied with all; transcripts (unofficial is accepted), certificates or documentation and letters of support. Not submitting all this information will prevent review of your request.

Selecting Second and Third TTOC Replacements
There are several resources – online and in the community – that SD 79 employees can access to support their overall health and wellness. Whether you are looking for some options to stay physically active, you need tips on nutrition, or you are in need of some additional supports for your mental health, there are many resources to support you and your families.
Our EFAP provider, Vancouver Island Counselling, offers a wealth of information on topics including work/life balance, teens and aging family members, substance abuse, anxiety, and sleep to name a few. Past issues of their monthly newsletter are also available.
Login to Office 365 by going to under applications locate Data Dashboard. This will log you into the portal. Click Remedy on the Side Bar and follow the instructions. Watch the How to Video.

The health and safety of all employees [and students] is an important concern and is, therefore, we are committed to providing a safe and healthy working and learning environment. The Board will develop standards and procedures in addition to its legal and regulatory responsibilities, when and where necessary, in an effort to protect staff against health and accident hazards.
The Payroll and Benefits Department processes pay and benefits for Teachers, CUPE, USW, Principals/Vice Principals, Teachers Teaching on Call, and Excluded employees. The staff of this department are responsible for financial analysis and reporting, accounting operations and payroll administration for the district.
