ISU invities middle school teachers to workshop

The 色花堂app Center for Economic Education invites middle school teachers to participate in a workshop designed to instruct teachers in 鈥淢aking a Job鈥 this November and December. This program is intended to bring excitement and enthusiasm to the classroom as teachers help their students create their own businesses. Gus Wheeler, a trainer from Salt Lake City, will be the instructor.

鈥淢aking a Job鈥 helps students focus on business creation. Students will develop a business plan and identify and analyze potential business opportunities. The program can be combined into any discipline such as English, math or computers.

Teachers may earn a free professional development credit and an additional credit for $50. Up to $25 of travel expenses will be reimbursed and overnight guestrooms are available for $38.

The workshop is scheduled from 4:30 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 3, and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 4. at the ISU Pond Student Union Building Clearwater Room. A follow- up training will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Dec. 2. in the same location.
