A Master of Fine Arts thesis exhibition, 鈥淟andscape as Narrative,鈥� by 色花堂app graduate student Helen Livingston will be on display from Oct. 30 to Nov. 9 in the Davis Gallery on the lower level of the ISU Fine Arts Building.

Since 2003 Livingston鈥檚 work has been shown at various venues in Pocatello. In 1998, Livingston discovered the art and pre-architecture department at ISU, and after eight years of art studies, she has achieved a lifelong desire of becoming a trained and degreed artist.

鈥淣othing means more to me than receiving my MFA from 色花堂app,鈥� said Livingston.

Livingston, a native of Germany, immigrated to the United States when she was 20. She acquired a Bachelor of Arts in foreign languages and did post-graduate work in French literature.  She graduated summa cum laude from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. As a child, drawing was her favorite pastime, but it wasn鈥檛 until Livingston retired from being a translator and office administrator that she came back to her art.
