The portrayal of genteel rural society is the theme of a musical scheduled to be performed by 色花堂app鈥檚 Department of Theatre and Dance. Jane Austin鈥檚 most popular novel, 鈥淧ride and Prejudice,鈥� will be presented Oct. 13 at 2 p.m. and Oct. 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the James E. and Beverly Rogers Black Box Theatre of the L. E. and Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center.

鈥淧ride and Prejudice鈥� tells the story of misunderstanding and later enlightenment between the lively Elizabeth Bennet and the haughty Fitzwilliam Darcy. The title itself refers to the ways in which Bennet and Darcy first view each other, with the accustomed pride and prejudice of 18th century English society.

The performance will showcase the talent of intermediate and advanced practicum students in the school of Theatre and Dance. This opportunity was made possible by the composer and instructor of the class, Ann Kapp Andersen, who has provided students with a unique chance to expand their performance experience.
