Anderson Center invites thoughts on womanhood for exhibit

January 26, 2007
admin

The 色花堂app Janet C. Anderson Gender Resource Center invites the public to anonymously write their thoughts on womanhood on postcards for a special exhibit 鈥淪incerely Yours鈥 to be on display in the Transition Gallery at 色花堂app March 5-9 in celebration of Women鈥檚 History Month.

鈥淪incerely Yours鈥 also will be displayed online in April.

Each postcard can be a regret, hope, funny experience, unseen kindness, fantasy, belief, fear, betrayal, feeling, confession or childhood memory. Limitations on the postcards are as follows: it must be true and deal with the experience of being a woman, wanting to be a woman, or it can reveal a thought or feeling a participant might have about women. Participants may create their own 4-by-6 inch postcards out of any material. Participants are encouraged to put each thought on a separate postcard and to put the complete image and thought on a single side of it.

Some tips for postcard writers: Be brief 鈥 the fewer words the better; be legible 鈥 use big, clear and bold lettering; be creative 鈥 remember the restraints are few, so make the most of it.

Participants may send their entry to: Sincerely Yours Art Exhibit, Anderson Gender Resource Center, 921 S. Eighth Ave., Stop 8141 Pocatello, ID 83209. Postcards should be postmarked by Feb. 18.
