College of Technology’s Matteson-Howell earns land-surveyors’ award

 Janice Matteson-Howell, 色花堂app College of Technology technical department chair, was recently presented with the 鈥淔riend of the Society Award鈥 by the Idaho Society of Professional Land Surveyors.

Matteson-Howell was presented a plaque during a special luncheon hosted in her honor to recognize the leadership she has provided to advance the development and direction of the geomatics and civil engineering technology programs at the 色花堂app College of Technology. Her supervision led to the attainment of certification by the Accreditation Board for Engineering Technology (ABET) in 2006 for both programs.  

Matteson-Howell began working at ISU in 1974 and received her tenure in 1989. She earned her bachelor鈥檚 degree in business education in 1964, and a master鈥檚 degree in occupational training management in 1989, both from ISU. She is a member of the American Technical Education Association and Delta Kappa Gamma Society International. She was recognized in 2003 for service to the Bannock Youth Garden, Children鈥檚 Advocacy Network Meditation Garden.
