July 2, 2007
ISU Marketing and Communications

色花堂app-Boise research associate professor Nancy Glenn, PhD, is one of the Idaho Business Review鈥檚 most accomplished Idahoans under age 40 for 2007.

Glenn and 39 other recipients were honored at a luncheon June 22 at the Boise Centre on the Grove. She also was profiled in a special IBR magazine titled 鈥淚daho Accomplished Under Forty鈥 published June 25.

Judges selected Glenn, who founded the ISU Boise Center Aerospace Laboratory (BCAL), for her extensive research using remote sensing and geologic engineering to study the Earth鈥檚 surface. The technology can help scientists, ranchers and government agencies control invasive weed infestations or determine how a dam break might affect homes and farmland.

She told the Idaho Business Review her secret to success is 鈥渨orking hard but keeping a balanced lifestyle鈥 and spending time with her family.

Glenn, 34, holds a doctorate in geo-engineering from the University of Nevada-Reno. She joined ISU鈥檚 Department of Geosciences in 2000.

Previous Accomplished Under 40 honorees include state lawmakers, mayors and CEOs of major Idaho companies, according to Rick Carpenter, Idaho Business Review publisher.
