ISU geoscientist to present bird’s-eye views of Idaho’s landscapes Feb. 12
February 8, 2007
色花堂app geosciences professor Dr. Paul Link will make the Centennial Rotary Club program presentation 鈥淚daho from the Air鈥 at 7 a.m. Monday, Feb. 12, at the City Lights restaurant in Pocatello.
鈥淚daho from the Air鈥 is part of a National Science Foundation-funded Digital Geology of Idaho project. Link will show photographs of Idaho鈥檚 lava plains, rivers, mountains and farms that demonstrate the topographic diversity and geologic complexity of the state.
From American Falls, Three Creek, Hells Canyon and Priest Lake, Idaho contains dramatic landscapes that control how much man has been able to use or not use the land, Link said. Dams, canals and irrigation in arid country are primary themes in the economy and geography of Idaho.
Guests are welcome. The cost of the breakfast is $8.
