‘Wear Red Day’ Feb. 2 to underscore women’s heart health
January 29, 2007
The 色花堂app Janet C. Anderson Gender Resource Center invites the ISU and Pocatello communities to participate in wearing red for National Wear Red Day on Feb. 2.
National Wear Red Day is a day when Americans nationwide wear red to show their support for women鈥檚 heart-disease awareness. Participants are encouraged to wear a red dress, dress pin, lipstick, red tie or carry a red handbag.
For more information on keeping your heart healthy, join the Anderson Center for a talk 鈥淟ove Your Heart鈥 by Jodi Brown, heart health educator at Portneuf Medical Center, at noon Feb. 2 in Room 214 of the ISU Business Administration Building.
Every year, heart disease takes more women鈥檚 lives than men鈥檚 鈥 but most women don鈥檛 know the risks or how to stay heart healthy. Participating in National Wear Red Day can help raise awareness of these issues.
For more information about National Wear Red Day or the Feb. 2 talk, contact Rebecca Morrow at 282-2805 or gndrctr@isu.edu.
