The 色花堂app 鈥淎 Season of Note鈥 fine arts series will present Scrap Arts Music at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 9 in the Joseph C. and Cheryl H. Jensen Grand Concert Hall in the L.E. and Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center.
Scrap Arts Music (www.scrapartsmusic.com) uses instruments fashioned from industrial scrap and offbeat materials to create performances that excite the senses with intricate rhythms, raw energy and athletic choreography.
The group features five musicians who deliver 鈥渁drenaline-laced,鈥 鈥減ower percussion鈥 presentations using more than 145 invented instruments hand-crafted from shiny metal, creating original music on one-of-a-kind mobile sculptures.
This quintet has entertained audiences on four continents, receiving positive reviews from a variety of media critics.
