The 27th annual 色花堂app CW HOG Pig Out, a dinner and fundraiser for 色花堂app鈥檚 Cooperative Wilderness Handicapped Outdoor Group, is Saturday, Sept. 13, in Lower Ross Park Pavilion. This year鈥檚 theme is 鈥淭hink It鈥ream It鈥id It.鈥

CW HOG provides outdoor recreational opportunities for individuals with and without disabilities.

The dinner includes barbecued pork, Idaho baked potatoes, corn-on-the-cob, green salad, and the HOGs鈥 specialty, a vegetarian Dutch-oven dish. Dinner is from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Musical entertainment, featuring The Unknown and Steelhead Red Band, will be from 4 to 10 p.m.

The Pig Out is a family-oriented activity that is held in the afternoon to make it more convenient. Children鈥檚 games, arts and crafts and face painting will be provided from 3 to 5 p.m. by the ISU Council for Exceptional Children.

Those 12 and older pay $14 in advance, $15 at the door. Children 11 and under pay $6 in advance, $7 at the door. Children ages 5 and under eat free. Those only listening to the music pay $7. Advance tickets are on sale at Scott鈥檚 Ski and Sports, Budget Tapes & Records, Sandbaggers, Barrie鈥檚 Sports, Rob鈥檚 Ride on Bikes & Snow, Ace Hardware and The Outdoor Adventure Center in the basement of the Pond Student Union Building.

T-shirts with this year鈥檚 Pig Out slogan will be on sale at a cost of $15 starting Sept. 10 in the CW HOG office and will be available at the Pig Out.

This year鈥檚 Pig Out revenue will be used for adaptive programming across the board. Last year some 500 individuals with disabilities participated in the organization鈥檚 various activities.

The Pig Out started as a chili feed. Today, 650 pounds of pork are cooked for the 1,000 to 1,200 people who attend, and the event annually raises more than $11,000 for CW HOG projects.
