Calendars from the fifth annual 鈥淲alk a Mile in Her Shoes鈥� event are now available for purchase from the 色花堂app Janet C. Anderson Gender Center.

This event, held in October, is popular in the ISU and southeastern Idaho communities. The calendar features men who have participated in the event, wearing their favorite high heel shoes to bring awareness of violence against women.  鈥淲hile many people may have the perception that domestic violence and sexual assault are 鈥榳omen鈥檚 issues,鈥� we believe that inviting men to become allies in ending the violence sends a powerful message,鈥� stated Kimberly Talbot, assistant director of the Anderson Gender Center. 鈥淚n asking men to publicly stand up and show their commitment to ending violence, their actions will encourage other men to start thinking about how they personally can do their part to end violence.鈥�

All proceeds from the sale of this calendar will be used to provide services for victims of intimate partner and sexual violence, and fund prevention and awareness activities at 色花堂app and in the southeastern Idaho community.
