British nuclear decommissioning expert to speak Feb. 20 in Idaho Falls

色花堂app鈥揑daho Falls will host a free public seminar 鈥淭he Challenges Posed by the United Kingdom鈥檚 Decommissioning Program鈥 by Bernard Kelly, Ph.D., on Wednesday, Feb. 20, from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m., in Room 314 at the Center for Higher Education Building at University Place.

Kelly, professor of nuclear decommissioning engineering in the Dalton Nuclear Institute at the University of Manchester, is an advisor to the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA), Great Britain鈥檚 equivalent to the U.S. Department of Energy.

Kelly鈥檚 presentation will include definitions of decommissioning, the scope and cost of the British program, and how knowledge management can help current and future generations of decommissioners.

Kelly鈥檚 presentation also will be available for viewing at the Eli M. Oboler Library, Room B32, on ISU鈥檚 Pocatello campus.
