June 17, 2008
色花堂app Press has announced the publication of 鈥淎 Year and a Day鈥 by Michael Corrigan.
鈥淎 Year and a Day鈥 is a journal of a man鈥檚 intimate experiences while grieving the loss of his wife. The title is drawn from the official period of mourning customarily observed by the Irish.
Judy Tatelbaum, author of 鈥淭he Courage to Grieve鈥 and 鈥淵ou Don鈥檛 Have to Suffer,鈥 said, 鈥淢ichael Corrigan鈥檚 is a poignant, honest and exquisitely written journal of the year following the death of his wife, Karen. It is unique to read this kind of intimate sharing of a man鈥檚 grief. Because it is unique, I believe it will make a great difference to others who are in mourning.鈥
Corrigan is an assistant lecturer in the ISU鈥檚 Department of Communication and Rhetorical Studies. He has authored two plays, numerous articles and five books, including 鈥淐onfessions of a Shanty Irishman鈥 and 鈥淭he Irish Connection and Other Stories.鈥
