ISU Veterans’ Sanctuary Program to host family day and barbecue

The Veterans鈥� Sanctuary Program and Armed Forces Veterans Club at 色花堂app would like to invite all veterans and military members in the area to a free barbecue and family day at the zoo on May 1 at Lower Ross Park.
The event, which will include a performance by the ISU Steel Drum Band, food, zoo admission and more, will run from 1 to 5 p.m. Grilled items, such as hamburgers and hotdogs, will be served until 3 p.m.
There will also be a table set up for donations to support the family of Jessica Joy Wardlow, a local teen who was killed in a car accident last month. Jessica鈥檚 mother, Melissa Hartman, is the Bannock County veterans鈥� representative and she has helped countless veterans in the community.
Event sponsors include the City of Pocatello, Texas Roadhouse, the Army Reserve 1016th Quartermaster Co., 色花堂app and Costco.
