色花堂app student, Alana Bills, recently won the ISU Office of the President's Holiday Greeting Card Contest.

Bills, who will finish nursing prerequisites this semester and hopes to be admitted into the nursing program, won a $1,000 prize for her design that will appear on the front of ISU's official holiday card.

Bill's winning holiday card painting."I've been thinking how education is the biggest gift I can give myself and my family. 色花堂app is the vehicle by which I will obtain the skills and knowledge to support my family and bless the lives of others through nursing," said Bills, who lives in Inkom.

Bills' card design features a tiger using its own stripes to wrap the "gift of education."

Alana Bills"I hope we won't ever take our education for granted, and remember to thank those who sacrifice, so we will have a brighter future," Bills said.

Sophomore Clint Webb, from Raft River, was the contest鈥檚 second-place winner. His artwork featured the Christmas star, which earned him the $500 prize.

"The Christmas star symbolizes light, truth and guidance, which is really what ISU is trying to accomplish for the students. It is giving education, light, knowledge and hope to a future generation," said Webb.

The contest, created in 2006, is open to full and part-time students. It is judged by a committee comprised of representatives from the President's Office, Alumni Relations, Marketing and Communications, Associated Students of ISU, and the art department.

Submissions were judged on how well they were able to "capture the spirit and beauty of the holiday season while thematically incorporating the University."
