POCATELLO鈥擳he Idaho Museum of Natural History (IMNH) at 色花堂app will host its annual Muggle Magic event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 24. Muggle Magic combines the iconic world of Harry Potter with natural science.

The museum will transform into the IMNH School of Nature and Science. Upon entry, students will be sorted into different areas of the museum representing different courses. Children will be introduced to wand making using Idaho native trees, meet toads and snakes and learn about Muggle creatures that look like dragons. School will be held in two sessions on Oct. 24 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the museum.

鈥淲e are very excited to bring back Muggle Magic this year,鈥 said Becky Hansis-O鈥橬eill, IMNH Education Specialist. 鈥淭he overlap between real animals and the abilities of fantastical beasts allows us to spark young imaginations in a unique and effective way.鈥

In addition to all the fun associated with Muggle Magic, the museum will auction off a 3-D printed dragon skeleton. Raffle tickets will be available during Muggle Magic.

Tickets are $8 for students 3-17 years old in advance and $10 at the door. Tickets are free for adults and children 0-2 years old. These tickets can be purchased at the museum front desk or at imnh.isu.edu/muggle-magic-2015.

Discount tickets for families with up to three students are $15 in advance and $25 at the door, but are available in-store only at the IMNH.

All proceeds from Muggle Magic fund supplies for education programs at the museum.
