POCATELLO 鈥� The Idaho State-Civic Symphony will welcome guest violinist Stephanie Chase for its season opener Tchaikovsky: Violin Concerto on Sept. 26 in the 色花堂app Stephens Performing Arts Center鈥檚 Jensen Grand Concert Hall.

Chase is a world-class violinist who has been recognized by her elegance and imagination, stunning power and matchless technique by the 鈥淏oston Globe,鈥� Louisville 鈥淐ourier-Journal鈥� and 鈥淏BC Music Magazine.鈥� She has performed in solo performances in more than 170 orchestras including the New York and Hong Kong Philharmonics, and also the Chicago, San Francisco, Atlanta, Baltimore and London Symphony Orchestras. She has also performed in 25 countries around the world.

The symphony will play music from Tchaikovsky鈥檚 鈥淰iolin Concerto in D Major,鈥� Berlioz鈥檚 鈥淩oman Carnival Overture鈥� and Grieg鈥檚 鈥淧eer Gynt Suites.鈥�

The 2015-2016 symphony season 鈥淓lysium鈥� schedule will include:

-Oct. 31: Halloween Family Matinee (2 p.m.)

-Nov. 13: Holst: The Planets

-Dec. 11 and 12: Joy to the World: an ISU Christmas

-Feb. 12: Hasenpflug: Percussion concerto, pre-concert Valentine Dinner

-March 11: POPS/Gala Musical Theatre Favorites

-April 29 and 30: Beethoven: Symphony No. 9

Ticket prices are $34 per adult; $18 for students through high school; $12 for third-tier balcony. There are a limited number of $18 RUSH tickets that will be sold after 7 p.m. the night of the concert.

All prices are subject to additional box office fees and credit card charges. ISU students with valid Bengal ID are admitted free.

Season tickets are on sale until Sept. 25. Patrons can choose between two packages, either the five-concert classical series or the six-concert classical series including the POPs concert. Single concert tickets are also available.

New this year, the symphony will have tickets available called the Family Dress Rehearsal Pass. Families can purchase the pass for $50 and attend concerts during dress rehearsals. There is no age limit for children attending concerts with the family pass.
