POCATELLO 鈥 色花堂app has recently received three prominent national accolades for its veteran services, receiving two recognitions from the Military Friendly Schools organization and was also named a top school in the Military Advanced Education Transition Guide to Colleges & Universities research study.

ISU was honored as a Military Friendly School and was additionally recognized by this entity as a Top 25 Public Colleges and Universities Military Friendly School.

鈥淭he Military Friendly recognitions are a continued reminder of the dedication ISU has toward servicing and supporting military-connected students,鈥 said Todd Johnson, director of Veteran Student Services Center. 鈥淚SU recognized the importance of this mission and this population and developed services accordingly, each year we continue to improve in order to retain the national recognition.鈥

The Military Friendly School list honors the top 15 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools that are doing the most to embrace America鈥檚 military service members, veterans, and spouses as students and ensure their success on campus.

The entire list of Military Friendly Schools was released on Nov. 5.

The 2015 list of Military Friendly Schools was compiled through extensive research and a data-driven survey of more than 12,000 Veteran Affairs approved schools nationwide. The survey tabulation process, methodology and weightings that comprise the 2016 list were independently verified by Ernst and Young LLP.

The Military Advanced Education & Transition also selected ISU as top school in the 2016 MAE&T Guide to Colleges & Universities research study. Schools were evaluated by their achievement in military culture, financial aid, flexibility, general support services, on-campus support and online support services.

鈥淐onsidering the competition, this is a tremendous recognition of our efforts and dedication to veterans, military service members and their families,鈥 Johnson said.
