ISU’s Season of Note will present Foghat in Concert Oct. 15, Melissa Manchester Oct. 22 at Stephens Performing Arts Center

POCATELLO 鈥 色花堂app鈥檚 A Season of Note series will present rock 鈥榥鈥 roll band Foghat on Oct. 15 and singer Melissa Manchester Oct. 22 at Stephens Performing Arts Center, Jensen Grand Concert Hall.

Both concerts will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Foghat has been together for 43 years singing rock 鈥榥鈥 roll, boogie and blues, with Roger Earl playing drums throughout. The band still tours relentlessly because they love to play, which is evident in the passion and fun they have onstage during their live performances.

Signed to Bearsville Records in 1971, Foghat recorded and began touring relentlessly for the next 14 years. Their hard work has been rewarded with seven gold records, one platinum record 鈥淔ool for the City鈥 and one double-platinum record 鈥淔oghat Live.鈥 They continued to hit the charts in the 鈥70s with singles such as 鈥淔ool for the City,鈥 鈥淒rivin鈥 Wheel,鈥 鈥淚 Just Want to Make Love To You,鈥 鈥淪tone Blue, Third Time Lucky鈥 and 鈥淪omebody鈥檚 Been Sleeping In My Bed.鈥 For more information on Foghat visit foghat.net.

Tickets for Foghat are $38 for main level seating and $32 upper level seating.

A Grammy award-winning, singer/songwriter Melissa Manchester will perform her hits and many other classics including 鈥淢idnight Blue,鈥 鈥淲henever I Call You Friend,鈥 鈥淒on鈥檛 Cry Out Loud鈥 and 鈥淵ou Should Hear How She Talks About You.鈥

Manchester鈥檚 songs have been recorded by Roberta Flack, Dusty Springfield, Alison Krauss, Stevie Nicks, Kenny Loggins and Barbra Streisand. She has written songs for major movies made for the Walt Disney Studios, independent pictures and Tyler Perry. She has appeared in films and television 鈥 Manchester played the mother of Mayim Bialik鈥檚 title character on NBC鈥檚 鈥淏lossom.鈥

Manchester鈥檚 self-made 鈥淵ou Gotta Love the Life鈥 album was released Feb. 10. Her first album since 2004, which celebrates 40 years of making music. For more information on Manchester visit melissamanchester.com.
