色花堂app’s summer concert series set Thursdays on the Quad

色花堂app鈥檚 Summer Activities is sponsoring concerts and barbeques throughout the summer at 6 p.m. Thursdays on the Hutchinson Quadrangle
The barbeques are free for ISU summer students with valid Bengal Cards and $3 for the public. The concerts are free.

鈥 June 4 鈥 DNK, a Nashville pop/rap group featuring David and Kayla, has exploded on to Nashville鈥檚 competitive live scene. After a wide range of reviews and awards, they鈥檙e living their dream together, along with award-winning industry reps and producers. For more information visit www.dnkofficial.com. 鈥 June 11 鈥 Nicole Lewis has performed on 鈥淎merican Idol鈥 and 鈥淭he Voice鈥 and won the Texaco Country Showdown. 鈥 June 18 鈥 Small Time Napoleon, a combination of new ideas and old sounds, has been described as 鈥渁 mad science blend of western sing, hot jazz, and folk.鈥滷or more information visit www.smalltimenapoleon.com. Opening band is Happy Havoc.
鈥 June 25 鈥 Clumsy Lovers offers a mix of fiddle and banjo-fueled, bluegrass Celtic rock. The band has performed more than 2,500 times in the last decade, and its shows are always high energy. For more information visit www.clumsylovers.com. Opening band is Aaron Ball Band.
鈥 July 2 鈥 Tyler Stanfield, originally from a small town in Colorado, began playing in back alley bars and venues across the Rocky Mountain. 鈥 July 16 鈥 Steve Means combines smooth grooves with powerful lyrics. Although only 24, he is rapidly growing in popularity and has a national fan base. He is a songwriter, musician, and performer and has been compared to everyone from Bruno Mars to Justin Timberlake. For more information visit www.youtube.com. Opening music will be offered from the ISU high school marching band camp featuring Kylle Strunk.
鈥 July 23 鈥 David and Whitney bring the same mixture of high energy and familiarity to acoustic shows as you鈥檇 find with a professional DJ, yet the live stage show is entertaining and interactive for students.
