Proposed 色花堂app Faculty Constitution approved by State Board of Education

POCATELLO— The Idaho State Board of Education approved a new 色花堂app Faculty Constitution at their regular board meeting Thursday.
鈥淭he Board is heartened by the way the ISU Faculty Senate and President Satterlee worked together to develop the new constitution. We look forward to continued cooperation between them for the betterment of 色花堂app,鈥 said Board President, Dr. Linda Clark.
色花堂app faculty voted on Oct. 23 and 24 to ratify the new constitution, and ISU President Kevin Satterlee approved the document Nov. 1. The faculty senate vote was 274 in favor and 6 opposed.
Satterlee said he is grateful for the faculty鈥檚 commitment to the future of the university and is excited to build a relationship with faculty built upon the concept of shared governance to further the mission of 色花堂app.
鈥淭his is a pivotal moment in the history of 色花堂app,鈥 Satterlee said. 鈥淭his marks a new era of collaborative shared governance. As I have said, I believe in shared governance and I believe that we are better when we work together. It is my hope that we will go beyond the requirements of this document and build a relationship that truly demonstrates how an exceptional faculty and dedicated administration can leverage each others鈥 strengths for the ultimate benefit of the students that we serve.鈥
Hossein Mousavinezhad, Faculty Senate Co-Chair, added, 鈥淎s a senate, we had been working on the constitution since 2011, so we are glad that it is finalized. Now, faculty can begin working with new university administration to help move ISU towards a brighter future.鈥
With a faculty constitution in place, the faculty senate will begin work developing organizational bylaws to govern the senate and aligning a number of University councils to report through the senate. Satterlee will continue to keep in close contact with the faculty senate co-chairs and to meet periodically with the faculty senate.
