Emily Konecky, a graduate of the Clinical Psychology PhD program and now a Psychologist at the Boise Veterans Administration, and Dr. Shannon Lynch, professor of psychology, published an article titled "Cumulative Trauma Exposure, Emotion Regulation, and PTSD Among Incarcerated Women" in the Journal of Traumatic Stress (available online early ).  The findings of this article highlight emotion regulation as a potential target for trauma focused treatment with incarcerated women. Dr. Lynch wrote a blog that accompanies the article that is free to access (see ). This collaborative study reflects work by several graduate and undergraduate students on Dr. Lynch's research team. Dr. Lynch and her team are now working on a manuscript that extends this work by examining emotion regulation and shame as targets for treatment in this vulnerable population.
