English Professors Present Papers and Win Awards

Dr. Evan Rodriguez, Assistant Professor of Philosophy, presented his paper "Aristotle's Platonic Response to the Problem of First Principles" at the American Philosophical Association (Pacific Division) meeting in Vancouver, BC last week.
Dr. Robert Watkins鈥�, Assistant Professor of English, short story 鈥淭he Little Girl and the Universe Tool鈥� recently won Baltimore Review鈥檚 pop-up contest and can be read on their website (). Rob also recently presented his paper "Drawing Scholarship: Producing Comics Without Neglecting Reading Comics鈥� at the International Comics Art Forum Conference in Davenport, Iowa.
Lisa Smith鈥檚, Adjunct Instructor in English, essay "Almost Twelve" was just named as a finalist for the Frank McCourt Creative Nonfiction Prize through The Southhampton Review.
