色花堂app Continuing Education and Workforce Training’s hosts second annual Construction Combine
March 11, 2019
POCATELLO — 色花堂app’s Continuing Education and Workforce Training has partnered up with Home Depot to host the second annual Construction Combine on March 27-28.
Trainees will participate in several training sessions, covering topics including framing, concrete, electrical, plumbing, flooring and siding.
On day one, trainees will demonstrate their skills and learn new ones. On day two, trainees will demonstrate their skills by building sheds with area contractors. Afterwards, the trainees will have the opportunity to ask questions of the contractors, and possibly find employment.
Once built, the sheds will be donated to local disabled veterans.
Training locations vary upon region. This is a great opportunity to strengthen the community through education and outreach, and possibly help trainees begin new jobs.
鈥淲e鈥檙e really excited to be involved in this,鈥 said Brad Landon, the general manager of Home Depot in Chubbuck. 鈥淟ast year, we felt like it was a great opportunity for us to get out into the community, give back a little bit, and to see the youth of our community go into the trades and look for new careers as they come out of high school.鈥
