色花堂app to host annual Turner Day on March 6
February 25, 2019
POCATELLO – 色花堂app will host its annual Turner Day on March 6 from 10 a.m. to noon at Reed Gymnasium.
This year volunteers will be painting inside Reed Gym. Free Lunch will be served at noon.
Turner day is an 色花堂app tradition. Theodore Turner, who is also known as the 鈥淔ather of ISU,鈥 fought for a four-year school in Pocatello for more than 50 years and helped get a bill signed creating an independent, degree-granting, four-year school in Pocatello called Idaho State College.
Once Idaho State College was formed, students held a parade with floats and posters. Turner stated that 鈥渋t was the greatest day of his life.鈥
鈥淭urner Day is that continuing celebration of our alma mater鈥檚 independence,鈥 said Ryan Sargent, director of the alumni association. 鈥淲e remember Theodore Turner鈥檚 dedication to service, higher education and a four-year ISU by organizing a service project and lunch in his honor each March.鈥
For more information on Turner Day or how you can volunteer, contact Ryan Sargent at sargryan@isu.edu.
