ISU Kasiska Division of Health Sciences 色花堂app Day set April 19 in Pocatello and Meridian

Focus on prevention will highlight annual event dedicated to research

POCATELLO 鈥 鈥淧revention: The Role of the Health Professional鈥 is the theme of the 色花堂app Kasiska Division of Health Sciences annual 色花堂app Day. The event is Friday, April 19, from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., in Pocatello and Meridian. 

Health care providers, faculty, students and the public are invited to 色花堂app Day activities, which will feature presentations across multiple health care professions. 色花堂app Day is a free event; registration will take place at the door from 7:30 to 7:45 a.m. Activities will be held in the ISU Pocatello Pond Student Union, 921 S. Eighth Avenue, and at the ISU-Meridian Health Science Center, 1311 E. Central Drive, north of I-84 between Locust Grove and Meridian Road. Podium sessions will be broadcast simultaneously using distance-learning technology.

This year's keynote address will be given by Betty Bekemeier, professor and director of the Northwest Center for Public Health Practice at the University of Washington. Bekemeier is a leader in public health systems research, studying the practices of state and local health departments in an effort to improve effectiveness and reduce health disparities. Her keynote address will be from 8 to 9:15am. From 9:30-10:15 a.m., two presentations will be given about practice-based research and clinical research methodology.
