ISU 色花堂app Office awards more than $51,000 through Small Grant Program; 2020 proposals due March 1

February 27, 2020

POCATELLO – 色花堂app’s Office for 色花堂app recently awarded more than $51,000 to researchers across campus through the University’s Internal Small Grant (ISG) program and proposals for the spring 2020 ISG program competition are due to Sponsored Programs and Support by March 1.

"I鈥檓 pleased to offer this type of internal funding opportunity for ISU's research community. Internal grant programs, like the ISG Program, have a tendency to spark innovation and creativity campus-wide," said Scott Snyder, interim vice president for research and College of Science and Engineering dean.

Twenty-three proposals were submitted and 12 were selected to receive an award of up to $5,000 for proposed research projects.

Each submission was carefully reviewed by ISU鈥檚 色花堂app Council. The council is tasked with making recommendations to the Vice President for 色花堂app.

During the submission review process, the 色花堂app Council places a great emphasis on projects that lead to external funding, have significant benefits to the researcher, artist or the university, or help the applicant progress to the next stage in their research or creative activity.

The ISG program is administered by Sponsored Programs and Support, refined by Office for 色花堂app leadership and was reintroduced to the ISU research community in fall 2019. This program is a competition for internal funding designed to expand the capacity for research and creative activity at ISU. Funding for the ISG program comes from Facilities and Administrative Costs resulting from external grant funding.
