Faculty Participate in Grant-Writing Workshop
November 18, 2021
Approximately 70 ISU faculty and staff participated in the 鈥淲rite Winning Grant Proposals鈥 workshop which occurred over two half day sessions on Nov. 9 and 11.
Sponsored by the ISU Office for 色花堂app, the virtual workshop was a successful introduction to the principles and fundamentals of good grantsmanship, as well as provided tips and strategies to increase the competitiveness of a proposal. In addition to faculty and staff, participants included 30 ISU graduate students and 33 researchers from the Idaho National Laboratory.
鈥淲e are again very pleased with the turn out for this workshop, especially considering this was the first time we have hosted a virtual workshop鈥 said Dave Harris, ISU Assistant Vice President for 色花堂app. 鈥淲e want to continue to help ISU researchers in all ways possible to write effective grant proposals. As evidenced by the turnout, ISU researchers are definitely interested and motivated in learning more about the process.鈥
The event was presented by John Robertson of the Grant Writers鈥 Seminars and Workshops, a managing member of this organization who previously worked as an NIH-funded scientist at the University of Kansas.
鈥淭he Office of 色花堂app will continue to offer informative events like this regularly in the future, to give our faculty, staff, students, and INL collaborators the tools they need to submit competitive grant proposals,鈥 Harris said.
