Leading provider of industrial automation equipment, Rockwell Automation, has gifted multiple programmable logic controllers and associated I/O modules to 色花堂app鈥檚 Energy Systems Technology and Education Center (ESTEC). 

 

鈥淧rogrammable logic controllers are the brains of modern industrial facilities鈥� said Vince Bowen, Executive Director of ESTEC. 鈥淲hile students in all of our programs are exposed to core industrial automation concepts, this donation will especially help our Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) students stay up to date with the latest technology. Established in 2007 with the help of the Idaho National Laboratory ESTEC, has the unique mission of preparing students to help design, build, operate and maintain industrial facilities ranging from water treatment plants to nuclear power stations. 

 

The donation was arranged by Ahmik Hindman and Tad Gropp who serve as members of ESTEC鈥檚 technical advisory committee. 

 

鈥淲e are excited by the breadth and depth we see at ESTEC鈥� explained Hindman, an industrial cybersecurity specialist working out of Rockwell鈥檚 Seattle office, 鈥淚ndustry needs well-prepared technicians to take US manufacturing into a bright future.鈥�

 

ESTEC produces about 55 of graduates per year, with strong salaries in high-demand engineering technology fields including electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, nuclear operations, and industrial cybersecurity.

 

鈥淚t is so fantastic to participate in an intense hands-on program like Electrical Engineering Technology at ISU, and to know we count on the support of leading industrial firms like Rockwell鈥� said student Ezekiel Whitecar, who plans on entering a licensed electrician journeyman apprenticeship after graduating.
