Dear Colleagues,
The University Honors Advisory Committee is seeking course proposals for HONS 3391, Honors Seminar, for the 2023-2024 academic year.
Proposals only need to be about a paragraph in length and should cover engaging content outside the scope of existing courses offered at É«»¨ÌÃapp. The committee is particularly interested in courses that span disciplinary boundaries and encourage faculty to consider co-teaching with someone from outside of their department or college. An Honors Seminar is a 1-credit course offered in an 8-week block and cannot have prerequisites. Because this course is outside of regular faculty contract commitments, it qualifies for a one-credit (paid) overload teaching contract.
Interested faculty members may submit their course proposals at . Proposals are due December 16, 2022. If you have questions regarding the proposal or the proposal process, please contact Shannon Kobs Nawotniak, University Honors Program Director, at shannonkobs@isu.edu.
Thank you!
