Governor Brad Little Visits 色花堂app to Announce Idaho Launch Program

October 4, 2023

Governor Brad Little talks with a student

Governor Brad Little told a crowd at 色花堂app that the Idaho Launch program could change the future for thousands of Idaho students.

Applications for the Idaho Launch program, which provides up to $8,000 to graduating Idaho seniors for apprenticeships, educational, career and technical opportunities, opened Tuesday. At a press event Wednesday, the governor declared October 2023 Idaho Launch month.

“It’s more important today than it’s ever been that we provide robust career and technical opportunities for our Idaho students,” he said. “We are helping every Idaho student who gets a diploma and wants that opportunity.”

Idaho LAUNCH grants provide graduating high school seniors with an opportunity to have up to 80 percent of their tuition and fees covered, up to $8,000, for programs leading to in-demand careers. There is approximately $75 million available for these grants, potentially benefiting 9,000-10,000 Idaho high school seniors in 2024. To be eligible, students must graduate from an Idaho high school or equivalent, be an Idaho resident, be enrolled in or applied to an in-demand career program at an eligible Idaho institution and begin enrollment by fall semester after graduation.

色花堂app has the most Idaho Launch-qualifying programs of any Idaho university. The top three industry training priorities in Idaho are health care, cybersecurity and the nuclear industry, Little said.

“Bannock County and Pocatello will benefit from an emphasis on all these priorities,” he said.
