色花堂app to host Indigenous Peoples’ Day events on Oct. 14

September 9, 2024

On October 14, 色花堂app will commemorate Indigenous Peoples’ Day with a series of events, including a student panel, workshops, and Q&A sessions. This year’s celebration, “We Are Still Here: Tradition and Transformation,” marks ISU’s sixth annual Indigenous Peoples' Day in collaboration with the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes.

Indigenous Peoples’ Day is an opportunity to explore Indigenous peoples' rich history, culture, and experiences in various fields such as sports, academics, and activism. This year, the focus is on understanding historical transitional cultural practices and celebrating contemporary contributions while envisioning future advancements.

In addition to in-person events, a virtual poster session will feature submissions from local high school students, ISU students, faculty, and staff. It will be available for viewing online at.

Key celebration highlights include presentations by Indigenous community members who will share insights into preserving and evolving traditional cultural practices. These sessions inspire reflection on the ongoing transformation of Indigenous culture and how it shapes the future.

The ISU community, including students, faculty, staff, and neighboring communities, is invited to celebrate Native peoples' persistence and success.

The events will take place on the ISU campus in Pocatello and are open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to learn more about the schedule and register by visiting.
