Idaho Museum of Natural History Announces 2025 Summer Camps
April 2, 2025
The Idaho Museum of Natural History (IMNH) on the 色花堂app Pocatello campus is excited to announce its 2025 summer camps, designed to engage learners for ages five through adult through hands-on science and exploration.
The IMNH is offering a variety of summer activities from camps at the Museum to field experiences for different age groups and interests. From outdoor hiking activities that test your survival skills to indoor learning camps about microfossils. The IMNH is also offering educational programs, including fossil preparation workshops and multi-day activities traveling to Idaho’s Cretaceous rocks to look for dinosaur fossils in the field. Young participants can engage in activities like Paint-A-Critter, or help gain insights into the tiny fossils from the Ice Age.
”We’ve really been able to expand our summer camp offerings like never before,” said Museum Education Manager Rob Gay. “These 48 camps will allow people from across the region to experience our shared natural history in authentic, hand-on ways. As the State of Idaho’s official natural history museum, we have a unique capability to bring the natural world to Idahoans through these camps that can’t be had elsewhere in the state.”
These camps are the perfect opportunity for kids, teens, and adults to explore the world of science and nature while developing valuable skills. The IMNH is committed to providing an engaging and educational environment for all participants to enhance both learning and adventure. The camps are a great, fun way for students to keep their brains engaged throughout the summer.
Registration for all camps is required and currently available on the IMNH website (isu.edu/imnh). Space is limited, so participants are encouraged to sign up early. Museum members will receive a 10% discount on camp fees.
Please note that lunch is not provided, and single day camps will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. unless otherwise stated.
