L.S. Skaggs College of Pharmacy Awarded Funding to Support Future Patient-Centered 色花堂app on Advanced Pharmacy Services
June 26, 2025
The L.S. Skaggs College of Pharmacy is pleased to announce approval for a funding award through the Eugene Washington PCORI Engagement Award Program, an initiative of the Patient-Centered Outcomes 色花堂app Institute (PCORI). The funds will support building capacity for patient-centered comparative clinical effectiveness research (CER) on advanced pharmacy services.
Zachary Rosko, director of the Center for Advancing Pharmacy Practice and 色花堂app Excellence (CAPPRE) at the College of Pharmacy, will lead the engagement project. The primary focus will be on stakeholder engagement and capacity building in research in an effort to bridge the gap between the implementation, delivery, and impact these advanced services bring. With research being of significant importance to the college and the university, this funding will enhance the college’s research infrastructure and contribute to improvements in pharmacy practice and health outcomes.
"This project is a significant step forward in building the research capacity needed to ensure advanced pharmacy services are optimized to meet patient needs,” said Rosko. “By amplifying the voices of patients and empowering pharmacy professionals to take a more active role in care delivery, we can bridge critical health care gaps—especially in rural and underserved areas—while reinforcing the long-established evidence that pharmacy-led care improves outcomes and reduces costs."
This project is part of a portfolio of projects funded by PCORI to help develop a community of patients, caregivers, clinicians and other stakeholders who are better equipped to engage as partners in all phases of patient-centered CER and to disseminate results of PCORI-funded studies. Through its Engagement Award Program, PCORI is creating an expansive network of individuals, communities and organizations who can leverage their lived experience and expertise to influence research to be more patient-centered, relevant and useful. The project team aims to create capacity for future research focused on how advanced pharmacy services can best meet patient needs and have a positive impact. The main goal of the project is to build the necessary infrastructure to support patient-centered research in pharmacy communities.
PCORI is a nonprofit organization with a mission to fund research that will provide patients, their caregivers, and clinicians with the evidence-based information that is needed to make better-informed health care decisions.
