Susan Carter Retiring from the College of Technology

May 5, 2025

After 11 years of service in the College of Technology, Susan Carter will retire at the end of this semester.

Carter first began her connection with ISU in 1977 - serving as an administrative assistant in the Sociology, Psychology, and Social Work Department. Most recently, Carter has served as a clinical associate professor and program coordinator in the medical assisting program.

Throughout her time with ISU, Carter has had the privilege of working alongside the caring staff at the University Health Center, as well as what she feels is an incredible and supportive team within the College of Technology.

Colleagues say she is grateful for the privilege and proud of the role she has played in empowering students who have gone on to build meaningful, successful careers in Medical Assisting.

All are welcome to a reception in her honor on Thursday, May 8, from 1 - 2 p.m. in the Roy F. Christensen Building, Tech Cafe, first floor.
