Academic Affairs and GERC thank faculty for their interest in the GEM Microgrant program. We will share more opportunities to apply with faculty as they become available. The GEM Microgrant program is a SBOE-sponsored faculty microgrant program that compensates instructors for redesigning GEM (General Education Matriculation) course content to embed AI literacy. The program is funded through the FIPSE Accelerate Idaho grant. The goal is to embed AI literacy directly into high-enrollment general education courses, so every Idaho student graduates with skills in evaluating AI output, using AI ethically, and knowing when human work matters.
