ISU's History Department is hosting the first-ever conference of a new Idaho history organization, the Consortium of Historians of Idaho and its Periphery (CHIP). CHIP is the only organization in the country dedicated to the history of Idaho and its connections to the broader Intermountain West region.

CHIP invites the ISU community to join us as historians from all over the state share their recent research. Presentations will cover over 150 years of Idaho history, focus on both famous Idahoans and lesser-known voices, and explore a variety of themes, including politics, religion, science, and recreation.

Date: Saturday, September 19 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Panels start at 9 a.m., 10:45 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.
Location: History Department, 3rd Floor Liberal Arts Building and on Zoom
