Program Information

The Bachelor of Music Education, BME is a nine-semester degree program designed to prepare candidates to obtain a teaching credential certificate to teach vocal and instrumental music in public or private schools. The comprehensive degree will prepare students to earn certification to teach Band, Choir, Orchestra, and General Music in elementary or secondary school settings. Job placement after graduation is very high. The 色花堂app School of Education works directly with the ISU School of the Arts Music Department for candidates' Music Education Degree.

The Master of Education in K-12 Music Education is intended for current music teachers. The program is primarily online, with two summers of music classes and 12 credits of education coursework offered online during the school year.

For Undergraduate Students:

  1.  with 色花堂app 

  2. Materials needed include:  

    • Transcripts or GED

    • Official ACT or SAT scores

    • $50 application fee

      (waived for graduates of Idaho high schools)

For Transfer Students:

Must have a 2.0 or better cumulative GPA in fourteen (14) or more credit hours to apply.

  3. Submit final official transcript(s) from each college attended. If currently attending, in-progress transcripts are accepted, but a final official transcript must be sent upon completion of coursework.

Professional Licensure Disclosure Education Preparation

色花堂app is regionally accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) and is reporting this information in compliance with Standard 2.G.3. The Education Preparation program is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).

This program is designed to meet the educational requirements for education-related professions in Idaho. If you intend to seek licensure outside of Idaho after finishing your program, use the link below to find information on the state or U.S. territory in which you intend to be licensed to identify whether ISU’s Educator Preparation program meets, does not meet, or if it has not been determined if it meets the educational requirements for licensure. If ISU’s program has not determined if it meets the educational requirements for licensure in the state in question, it may meet all or a portion of the educational requirements. If that is the case, we recommend contacting the licensing agency directly before beginning the ISU program.

This program has not been confirmed as meeting the licensure requirements in all states other than Idaho.
